The Rev. Lucy Albert, Pastor of Connections

Lucy grew up in Richmond, Virginia, the older of two daughters of parents who were both loving and eccentric.  She met Jesus through Young Life at age 15, and everything changed. Five years later, she met Frank through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and everything changed again. They were married by the time she earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992.  Sons began joining the family in 1996, and Lucy fondly thinks of Greg, Sam, and Ethan as large and sometimes smelly.  After participating in different flavors of both denominational and independent churches, the Alberts stumbled upon Anglicanism in 2011; captivated by the lively expression of ancient-future worship of the whole trinity, they found themselves compelled to stay.  Lucy’s experiences in helping grow a successful family business, in brokering real estate, and in leading various Kingdom organizations led her to pursue a call to vocational ministry, and she was ordained as a deacon in 2018. Her passion in ministry is to help the Church identify and execute sustainable strategies to fulfil the Great Commission while fostering authentic relationships.
