Dear All Saints family,

My heart is with you all as you experience the rapidly changing landscape of our lives right now. For those who were able to be with us yesterday for prayer after the service, it was so good to be able to bring to God our concerns for the world, our country and our community. I know that many of you are personally experiencing the effects of the virus outbreak with concerns about jobs or finances, health concerns for yourself or family members, and the many unknowns we are facing. In the midst of these uncertainties, we can praise God together that he has given us the assurance of his great care and never-failing love for us through our Lord Jesus.

With the Governor’s new order stating we should not meet in groups over 25 people, it is now clear that we can no longer hold Sunday morning services at All Saints. Happily we already have in place the capacity to live-stream our services and we will continue to do so at this link: https://www.facebook.com/pg/allsaintsamesburyma/videos/ It is so important that we maintain our connections to one another during this time. We are the Lord’s family and we want to stay close to one another, even if only through online connections.

I am aware that many of our community groups have decided not to meet for a while. It would be good for your groups to think of ways you can continue to be in touch with one another for prayer and support. For example, you might consider setting up a conference call or zoom call once a week during your regular meeting time for scripture reading and prayer. If you need help knowing how to set that up, please let us know. We have people who can help you with that.

Now is also a wonderful opportunity to reach out to love and care for our neighbors. Are there people who may need a prayer over the phone? Are there neighbors who need a meal that you could leave for them outside their door? What are ways you might reach out to those around you? Let’s think together about how All Saints might be helping our Amesbury neighbors who are struggling right now.

Another important way for us to care for All Saints is to continue with our tithes and offerings during this time when we are not meeting together on Sunday. It’s easy to make payments to the church online through the Website here: https://allsaintsamesbury.org/give/. You can sign up to make your weekly or monthly payments. It’s also easy to set up automatic payments to All Saints through your bank. Or you can mail them to the church office at 6 Allens Ct., Amesbury, MA 01913. We still need to pay our bills. If you are even able to give more at this time, that would help ensure that we do not fall behind.

The diocese is also planning a variety of ways for us to continue to pray together as the ADNE family. There will be a diocesan wide prayer event this Thursday from 7:30-8:30PM, a diocesan-wide 24/7 prayer movement, and Morning Prayer at 8:00AM, Noonday intercessory prayer, resources for Family Prayers, and fireside Compline with the Bishop. For links to all of these prayer opportunities, go to this website: http://www.ad-ne.org/ourfinesthour/

We will be sending you regular updates to keep you informed about the All Saints family. Let us continue to pray for one another and for our suffering world.

In Christ’s love,

Mother Susie
