ONGOING SUMMER MINISTRY WITH OUR YOUNGEST
This week Sheep of the Good Shepherd will take a break for the summer months as they prepare for continued ministry this fall. This summer, there is a need for a few more volunteers who love Jesus, love kids and and would like to get involved with a pared down (from SGS) children’s ministry as well as with our nursery. We need smiling faces to enjoy music, Bible story, and art with our kids on Sunday morning. Curriculum and supplies will be provided. Email email@example.com if you are interested. The Children’s summer program will begin June 30th.
PRAYING FOR AMESBURY DAYS, JUNE 26TH
Prayer is the “big” work as we head into Amesbury Days outreach opportunities. Please join us (regardless of whether you can serve on Thursday) for prayer with our collaborating churches. Weather permitting, we will meet at Town Park from 6-6:30 pm for prayer. Volunteers for Thursday will also meet briefly with their teams for instruction for the next day.
CROSS TRAINING- PREPARING FOR AMESBURY DAYS
Amesbury Days provides a unique opportunity for us to BLESS our neighbors and community. This year, we will be partnering with some of our neighbor churches in town- the Rock Church, Market Street Baptist Church and Holy Family Parish in the participation of several Amesbury Days Events including Kids Day in the Park and the Block Party (June 27th).
We’re at key preparation phase: Volunteer teams formation.
Kids Day is the event where most volunteers are needed, but we understand that a weekday morning is tricky for many to attend. Over the next two weeks, each church is recruiting as many volunteers as they can so that we can have form teams for the various stations we’ll be offering:
- Inflatables Stations (bouncy castle, obstacle-course): volunteers for Welcoming and Safety
- Treats Stations (popcorn, snowcones): volunteers for Welcoming and Treat-Prep
- Games Stations (corn-hole, ring-toss, etc.): volunteers for Welcoming and Assisting
- Story Course Station (gospel-based obstacle course): volunteers for Welcoming, Assisting, Time-Recording, Story-Sharing
- Rest and Welcome Station (water, shade, seats, etc.): volunteers for Welcoming
