Brigham Manor is an award-winning, Level 2 Nursing Home located in Newburyport, MA, at the intersection of High Street and Willis Lane.
In 1960 Warren and Louise Sheldon of All Saints' began reaching out to the residents through Sunday morning prayer services. Since that time - 50 years ago! - All Saints' has continued to provide services on Sunday mornings (currently twice a month) to the residents of Brigham Manor.
Members of the All Saints' community volunteer to serve Brigham Manor residents during Sunday services as page-turners, listeners, musicians, and friends in Christ. In 2006 parishioner George Cookman, along with others, took on the task of compiling and printing large-print prayer booklets for the services.
The residents greatly appreciate the services, the music, and – most of all – the companionship of people who love Jesus.
This ministry offers an opportunity to share the love and power of Jesus Christ in a very tangible way to those who are unable to get to church on Sunday mornings. Volunteers are always welcome, and musicians are especially appreciated. We begin gathering residents at about 10 am. The service goes from 10:15-11:15 am. We welcome you to join us in service and worship!
