As a lead-up to the Feast of Pentecost, All Saints Anglican Cathedral will be hosting an Equipped to Heal conference, May 17-19, 2018. In partnership with the Isaiah 40 Foundation, led by The Rev. Canon Alex Cameron, the Equipped to Heal teaching team will bring a weekend of training and healing prayer for the churches in New England. I invite you either to attend the event, or to pray for those who will.

Recently, I had the privilege of serving as a prayer-ministry apprentice with Canon Alex at a retreat hosted by Imago Dei Anglican Church (an ADNE sister-parish). Alex modeled a gentle manner, confidence in God’s power, and genuine care for the individuals for whom we prayed. I’m eager for the further training that Alex and the rest of the Equipped to Heal team will bring in this conference. The required registration fee covers costs for Friday lunch and dinner, as well as for conference materials. Click here to go to the registration page for the event.

The conference welcomes all who minister healing and pastoral care or who desire to receive healing and pastoral care. The Equipped to Heal Ministry team is a part of the ACNA’s Greenhouse Movement. Their desire is to bring all healing ministers and healing ministries together, to pray for one another, and to build friendships with the hope to release the charism of healing in all our churches. This prayer training opportunity is a time filled with teachings, prayer, worship, and fellowship. We hope to offer time for every person to draw closer to God’s presence.

The national team brings together decades of healing prayer experience and will be sharing their knowledge through stories, teaching, and guided small group prayer times. Come and receive healing prayer and pray for one another. Everyone is welcome to come, participate, and receive what God has for each one of us.

Potential session topics include:

Listening to the Holy Spirit as we pray
Baptizing our imaginations
Our call to suffer healing
Ashamed no more
Identity as men and women
How Christ heals sexual brokenness
Restoring our holy desires
Freeing the heart bound in anxiety
Grace at Work…God’s Part, My Part
The healing power of gratitude
